VOWEL aims to create its own system to construct a new kind of visual language where the definitions lie in the eye of the beholder. They explore various matters such as science, philosophy and archaeology ― and by their sense of semiotics they aspire to create an archive which functions as a meta-language.

VOWEL is an ongoing collaboration between Beau Bertens and Eline Ceelen. Both working in different fields of design, they have found each other in a shared curiosity for the unknown. With their interdisciplinary approach they challenge the preconceptions of what art and design can be.
